At Betway I started to explore and advise on the use of AI voice technology, identifying ElevenLabs as a standout solution for the business. Recognising its potential to streamline production and enhance content delivery, I took the initiative to create proof-of-concept videos that demonstrated its real-world applications. These examples were shared across the company, helping teams understand how AI voice could be used effectively in future projects. My early involvement positioned me as a go-to person for this emerging tech and helped shape how the business began integrating AI voice into its creative workflows.
Previously, the business relied on hiring professional voice actors, often spending several thousand pounds for just a few lines of dialogue. This process not only incurred high costs but also introduced delays when scripts changed or re-recordings were needed. The lack of flexibility made it difficult to iterate quickly or test new ideas, especially in fast-paced projects. The new process is fairly seamless and a lot cheaper, with a mixture of tools and various accents any voice exported from the Ai tool still needed work often cutting and stitching audio together to make a seamless dialogue to fit within the videos.
